Ashley Narciso is going to be a ballerina for Halloween, but don't be surprised if she's wearing bowling shoes instead of toe shoes. The 5-year-old bowled an 87 two weeks ago at Victory Lanes.
``I beat my grandma. I got an 87 game. My grandma had an 86,'' Narciso said proudly.
The Stonebridge kindergartener takes piano lessons and goes to a gymnastics class once a week at Ocean Tumblers, but bowling is at the top of her list.
``She's one of those kids that, when she shows interest in something, she really wants to do it. She looks forward to it,'' said her mom, Lynettte Narciso, who bowled the high series at Victory last week.
In just two years, the young Narciso has already accumulated three patches and two trophies for her bowling. Last year she was named the Most Improved Bowler of the Year at Victory Lanes, for bowling 27 pins over her average.
Narciso already knows how good it feels to be an achiever.
``(When she bowls well) she goes around and she gives you five and says, `Isn't that great mom?' She's real proud,'' said Lynette Narciso. ILLUSTRATION: Photo
