Chesapeake City Council met Tuesday and took these actions, based on a report from the Office of the City Clerk. Proposal

Request by Centex Homes for conditional zoning reclassification for the Delaura property at 727 Clearfield Avenue from R-15 single-family residential district and A-1 agricultural district to R-12 single-family residential and office and institutional district. Withdrawn (9-0)

Request from New Weeping Mary Baptist Church for a conditional use permit forafter-school care at 1104 Fentress Road. Approved (9-0)

Request by Campostella Mini-Storage for zoning reclassification from R-MF-1 multi-family district to B-2 general business district for 5.3-acre site at 1915 Campostella Road. Approved (9-0)

Request by Campostella Mini-Storage for a conditional use permit to constructand operate a mini-warehouse on a 5.3-acre site at 1915 Campostella Road. Approved with modifications (9-0)

Request from Curling Property for a conditional use permit to operate a kennel at 2241 Johnstown Road within 500 feet of property zoned or used for residential purposes. Approved (9-0)

Request by Anglin Property for a conditional use permit to operate a screening/printing operation within a portion of a detached garage on a residential single-family lot at 2808 Edgewood Court. Denied (9-0)

Request by Petro-Plus Inc. for a conditional use permit to operate a motor vehicle fuel supply service and fast food business with drive-through service and an accessory car wash facility at 1100 Battlefield Boulevard South, within 500 feet of residentially zoned property. Approved (9-0)

An ordinance to modify the City Code relating to development standards for C-2 districts and permitted and conditional uses in conservation and agricultural zoning districts. Approved (8-0, Krasnoff abstained)

A resolution in opposition to the Southeastern Expressway and Greenbelt as currently proposed. Approved with amendment (8-1, Newman voted no)
