HOWARD BYERS

Howard ``C.'' Byers, 77, of the 3400 block of Budd Court, died Oct. 24, 1997.

Born in Cookeville, Tenn., he retired as a machinist for Naval Air Rework Facility. He was a member of V.F.W., Post No. 3160, and the American Legion Post No. 327. Mr. Byers was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of World War II.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy M. Byers; two daughters, Deborah Byers of Los Angeles, Brenda Fishel and her husband, Jim of Virginia Beach; two sons, Gary Byers and Wayne Byers, both of Cookeville, Tenn.; a grandchild, Jesse Byers of Los Angeles; three stepdaughters, Dorothy Wainwright of Chesapeake, Billie Hufton of Virginia Beach, Loretta Kelly of Clayton, N.C.; four stepsons, Phillip Johnson of Fayetteville, N.C., William Johnson of Chicago, Mike Faulkingham of Virginia Beach, Mark Miller of Chesapeake.

A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday in Forest Lawn Cemetery by the Rev. Max Culler. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, from 3 to 5 p.m. today. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
