FANNIE MAE JONES

Fannie Mae Jones, 83, of the 900 block of Appomattox St., died Oct. 23, 1997,in a local hospital.

A native of Norfolk, she was the widow of Charlie Jones and an active member, until her health failed, of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, Norfolk.

Survivors include a daughter, Virgie Lee Loftin; four grandchildren, Carl Williams of Boston, James Williams of Chesapeake, Stephanie Loftin, Nadine Lofton, both of Norfolk; seven grandchildren including Shequira Loftin of Norfolk; sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Jacqueline Deloris Williams and her parents, Betty Jefferson Williams and Elie Williams.

A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 28, in Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, Norfolk, by the Rev. I. Joseph Williams. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. Family and friends will assemble at 918 Appomattox St. at noon Tuesday for the procession to the church. Metropolitan Funeral Service, Norfolk, is handling arrangements. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
