Martin William Boelens Sr., 67, of Teal Drive, died Oct. 24, 1997, in a Chesapeake hospital.
He was born in Caney, Kan., and retired from the U.S. Navy and Virginia Power.
Survivors include his wife, Janet M. Boelens; two daughters, Maureen B. Blake and her husband, Robert Murden Jr., of Chesapeake, Joann Hohman and her husband, Thomas, of Cummings, Ga.; a son, Martin William Boelens Jr. and his wife, Faith, of Orlando, Fla.; five grandchildren, Tabatha L. Blake, Brooke E. Boelens, Brian Williams Boelens, Robert E. Murden III and Thomas Luke Hohman. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Austin M. Boelens.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 28, in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Bridge Chapel, by Fr. Christian J. Haydinger. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens with military honors. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
