Hazel ``Kitty'' Marjorie Stallworth, 84, died Monday, Oct. 27, 1997, at 5:10 a.m. at her residence.
A native of Baton Rouge and a resident of Slidell for more than 20 years, she was also a longtime resident of Norfolk. She was a registered nurse retired from Marine Health Services and a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Parish and Altar Society and the Live Poets Society. She was a former member of Friends of Slidell Public Library. She graduated from Our Lady of the Lake Nursing School in 1934.
She was the beloved wife of William B. Stallworth; mother of William C. Stallworth of Metairie, La., Robert L. Stallworth of Windsor, Va., Mary S. Murdock of Radcliff, Ky., Evelyn S. Griffin of Jupiter, Fla., Peggy S. Emdee of Radcliff, Ky.; daughter of the late Exom Louis and Annie Guedry Cotton; sister of Anita Dupuy of New Orleans, La., Eileen Hammatt of Baton Rouge, and the late: Jessie Cotton, Bruce Cotton, Exom L. Cotton Jr. and Evelyn Mares. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 325 Westchester Place, Slidell, by the Rev. Msgr. Howard H. Hotard. Interment will be in Roselawn Cemetery, Baton Rouge. Visitation will be at the church after 9 a.m. Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Slidell Memorial Hospice.
