MAMIE CARTER

Mamie Carter of the 2300 block of Vincent Ave. died Oct. 23, 1997, in a local hospital.

Born in Jackson, N.C., she was a retired domestic worker after 30 years and a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, Ingleside, Norfolk, and the Senior Citizen's Club.

She is survived by a daughter, Annie B. Skinner of Norfolk; three sisters, Catherine McCaskill, Theresa Spencer and Lillie Dozier, all of Brooklyn, N.Y.; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, Ingleside, by Minister Charles White. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. The family will be at the residence the day of the service. Graves Funeral Home is handling arrangements. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
