Mrs. Bailey Tynch Miller, 101, died Sunday, Oct. 26, 1997, in Britthaven Nursing Home of Edenton.
A native of Chowan County, Mrs. Miller was the daughter of the late Thomas R. and Roxie Harrell Tynch and the wife of the late Walter Levi Miller. She was a co-owner of Miller's Grocery Store and the oldest member of the Rocky Hock Baptist Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Bertha ``Bert'' M. White and Elmira ``Teny'' M. Ward, both of Edenton; 16 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and 17 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sons, the Rev. Melvin Miller and Elton Bland Miller; and two grandchildren, Walter Bland Miller and Tracy Miller.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Rocky Hock Baptist Church by the Rev. Ron Cava with burial following in Beaver Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today in Evans Funeral Home, Edenton, and at other times at the home of Bert White, 1652 Virginia Road, Edenton. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
