Rebecca Murphy, 73, a lifelong resident of Sussex County, died Sunday, Oct. 26, 1997, at Waverly Health Care Center.
She was the daughter of Essie R. Murphy and the late C.C. Murphy. She was a member of Rocky Hock United Methodist Church, Wakefield, and Naomi Bible class of the church.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by two brothers, Frank Murphy of Smithfield and C. Randolph Murphy of Wakefield; and a nephew, Wayne Murphy of Elberon.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Wakefield Cemetery by the Rev. C. Randolph Duncan. The family will receive friends at Purviance Funeral Home, Wakefield, from 5 to 7 p.m. today.
