Mrs. Mary Ellen Hale Wray, 71, of Woodard's Care, died Monday, Oct. 27, 1997, in Wayne Memorial Hospital.
A native of Wisconsin, she was the daughter of the late Wesley Herbert Hale and Margaret Waldo Hale and the wife of Robert King Wray.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Jeffrey King Wray of Portsmouth and James Thomas Wray of Virginia Beach; two daughters, Judy Ann Gales of Windsor, Va., and Deborah Ellen Lanier of Goldsboro; 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be conducted at 7 p.m. today in Seymour Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Jimmy Whitfield. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Olive Branch Cemetery, Portsmouth. The family will receive friends today after the funeral service at Seymour Funeral Home, Goldsborough, until 9 p.m. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
