CHARLES C. GOMER

Charles Clifton Gomer, 73, a resident of Lafayette Villa Nursing Home, died Oct. 27, 1997, in a local hospital.

Mr. Gomer, a native of Norfolk, was retired from the Naval Supply Center. He was the son of the late Owen R. Gomer Sr. and Ethel Humphreys Gomer. Mr. Gomer was a member of Willowwood Presbyterian Church. He was predeceased by his brothers, Owen R. Gomer Jr. and Jack C. Gomer.

Survivors include his niece, Miss Edith Anne Gomer of Norfolk; his cousins, Mrs. Inez C. Beecham and Mr. Vernon Humphreys of Virginia Beach. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Mrs. Edith W. Gomer of Norfolk, as well as several other cousins.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in Forest Lawn Cemetery by the Rev. Francis Drake. The family will receive friends in Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, from 6 to 8 p.m. today. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Willowwood Presbyterian Church, 1715 Willowwood Drive, Norfolk, Va. 23509. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
