Elmo S. Turner, 91, died Saturday, Nov. 1, 1997, in the home of his daughter in Richmond.
He had retired after 43 years service with the Southampton Correctional Center. He was a member of the Capron United Methodist Church, the Capron Ruritan Club and the Capron Hunt Club. He was a native of Nelson County and son of the late Zackery and Vera Harris Turner. He was the husband of the late Beatrice Estep Turner, who died July 2, 1995.
Survivors include a daughter, Maxine Turner Miley; and a brother, William M. Turner, both of Richmond.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in Capron Cemetery by the Rev. Lowell Stovall. The family will receive friends at Capron United Methodist Church from noon to 1:45 p.m. Monday. Memorial donations may be made to your favorite charity. Purviance Funeral Home, Boykins Chapel, is in charge of arrangements. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
