Mildred Nissinen Moss, 81, of the second block of Fairway Drive died Oct. 31, 1997, in a local hospital.
She was a native of Lynchburg, Va., and the widow of John Acree Moss, who had retired from St. Julian's Creek Ammunition Depot. Mrs. Moss was a member of Rivershore Baptist Church, Order of the Eastern Star Esther Chapter No. 37, and Beasley Senior Center.
Survivors include her daughter, Jean M. Ewing, and husband, Curtis, of Greenfield, Ind.; three grandchildren, Amy Ewing Johnson of Vancouver, Wash., Curtis Tripner Ewing of Columbus, Ohio, and Christopher John Ewing of Sharpsburg, Ga.; and two great-grandchildren, Rachel and Brett Johnson.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m Tuesday in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, by the Rev. David Phillips. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will be at the funeral home from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Monday. Contributions may be made to Rivershore Baptist Church, 4501 Rivershore Road, Portsmouth, Va. 23703. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
