Roger Ray Myatt, 39, of the 2400 block of Sunset Drive died Oct. 31, 1997, in Suffolk.
Born in Norfolk, he was a construction worker and an equipment operator. He was a Baptist.
Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Jean and Richard Waddell of Chesapeake; father and stepmother, Roger (Bill) Myatt and his wife, Kathy, of Chesapeake; two sisters, Patricia Kirby and her husband, Bobby, of Chesapeake, Alexandra Caroline Myatt of Chesapeake; a stepsister, Ricki Bittle of Chesapeake; a brother, David W. Myatt of Chesapeake; three stepbrothers, William Scott Collins of Chesapeake, Ryan R. Waddell of Charleston, S.C., Charles Christopher Waddell of Savannah, Ga.; maternal grandparents, Carl M. and Nina L. Griffin of Lake Park, Ga.; two uncles, Bobby Griffin and Danny Griffin, both of Lake Park, Ga.; and an aunt, Barbara Walker of Portsmouth.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Snellings Funeral Home, George Washington Hwy. Chapel, by the Rev. Carlton E. Smith. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Monday. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
