NELLIE H. RICHARDSON

Nellie Heflin Richardson, 86, of the 7300 block of Glenroie Ave., died Nov. 1, 1997, in a Norfolk hospital.

Mrs. Richardson was born in Culpeper, Va. She was the widow of John B. Richardson Sr., and the daughter of the late Randolph T. Heflin and Allie Compton Heflin. She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church and the Women's Church Circle. She was active with Mobile Meals of Norfolk. Mrs. Richardson was retired from the Naval Supply Center after 20 years of service.

Survivors include her four daughters, Lucille Saunders and her husband, Tubby, of Virginia Beach, Mary Lu Riesenberg and her husband, Bill, of New Smyrna Beach, Fla., Betty R. Fisher and her husband, Bill, of Chesapeake and Nola R. Boyd and her husband, Bob, of Virginia Beach; her son, John B. Richardson Jr. of Virginia Beach; her sister, Louise H. Kirk of Handcock, Md.; 12 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

A church service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Christ United Methodist Church, 1601 E. Bayview Blvd., by the Rev. Fran Cooper. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends today in H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Laskin Road Chapel, from 7 to 8 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 101 W.
