Rachel L. Goodman, 80, formerly of the 1300 block of Goodman St. died Nov. 3,1997.
She was a retired teacher from the Chesapeake School System and a member of the National Retired Teachers Association and Portsmouth Retired Teachers Association. She was a member of Holy Trinity Church, No. 1, Portsmouth, and was a retired organist of the church. She was the widow of Elder Robert Goodman.
Survivors include a daughter, Patricia Goodman; a grandson, Sean P. Goodman Sr.; and two great-grandchildren, Sean P. Goodman Jr. and Keshona N. Goodman.
A funeral will be conducted at noon Saturday in Holy Trinity Church, No. 1, Portsmouth, by Elder Cetha Boone. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake. The family will be at 706 Sutherland Drive, Chesapeake. Fisher Funeral Home is in charge. ILLUSTRATION: Photo KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
