Linda Reid James, 42, died Nov. 3, 1997, in Obici Memorial Hospital, Suffolk.
Born in Suffolk, she had retired from Obici Memorial Hospital after 21 years of service; she worked in telecommunications. She was a member of Christian Home Baptist Church, Windsor, Va., and a member of Brighter Light Eastern Star Chapter 118. She was a graduate of the Class of 1976 from Forrest Glenn High School, attended P.D. Pruden Vocational Tech. and was a graduate of Obici Hospital Nursing Training.
Survivors include her husband, the Rev. Larry James; two daughters, Jennifer Marie James and Brittany Moulton James, both of Portsmouth; three foster sisters, Stella Northern, Wanda Futrell and Lynne Young, all of Suffolk; a brother, Kelvin Steward of Atlanta; and a special cousin, Dolly Williams of Smithfield.
A funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday in Christian Home Baptist Church, Windsor, Va., by the Rev. Wendell Waller. The body will be placed in the church at 10 a.m. Viewing will be from 1 to 8 p.m. Friday in the Tynes-Edwards & Turner Funeral Service. Family and friends will assemble at 547 McClean St., Portsmouth, by 11 a.m. for the procession. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
