William Arthur Powell, 94, died Monday, Nov. 3, 1997, in Parson's Residential Care Center.
Mr. Powell was a member of Western Branch Baptist Church and a native of Portsmouth.
The husband of the late Neppie Russell Powell, he is survived by his daughter, Jeannette P. Ethier of Portsmouth; granddaughter, Deborah Beshany of San Diego, Calif.; grandson, Timothy M. Ethier of Richmond; four grandchildren, Ryan Beshany, Stephanie Beshany, Paul Ethier and Joshua Ethier.
A graveside funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. today in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens by the Rev. Larry O'Brien. Loving Funeral Home, Churchland, is handling arrangements. The family suggests memorial contributions to the charity of your choice. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
