FRANCES P. MOTLEY

Frances P. Motley, 76, died Nov. 5, 1997, in a local hospital.

Born in Norfolk, she was a retired payroll clerk for the Norfolk Naval Shipyard and a member of Centenary United Methodist Church. Mrs. Motley was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

Survivors include her husband, William R. Motley; a daughter, Debra Motley Griggs and her husband, John Meade Griggs, of Fairfax Station, Va.; a son, William R. Motley III of Hayes, Va.; a brother, Alvin C. Powers of Salisbury, Md.; and three grandchildren, Paula, Justin, and Daniel Griggs, all of Fairfax Station, Va.

A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in Snellings Funeral Home, Churchland Chapel, by the Rev. William L. Vann III. Entombment will be in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. today. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of one's choice. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
