MARY JO KRETZER

Mary Jo Kretzer, 68, of Chatham Road died Nov. 7, 1997, in her residence.

A native of Belfry, Ky., she had retired as a contract negotiator for the U.S. Navy and was a member of Westhaven Park Church of God. She was a loving and devoted Christian wife, mother, grandmother and friend who will be missed by all who knew her.

Survivors include her husband, Harold L. Kretzer Sr.; three daughters, Goldie I. Young of Chesapeake, Mary Louise Terwilliger of Warren, Ohio, and Teresa G. Young of Portsmouth; two sons, Harold L. Kretzer Jr. of Richmond and Gary E. Kretzer of Edenton, N.C.; three brothers, Carl M. Justice Sr. and Chalmer V. Justice, both of Portsmouth, and Glenn C. Justice of Waterlily, N.C.; 13 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Joel D. Kretzer.

A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday in Westhaven Park Church of God by Pastor Frank Allen. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday. Memorial donations may be made to the church. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
