GERALDINE W. ANDERSON

Geraldine Wise Anderson, 78, of the 900 block of Harrington Ave. died Nov. 9,1997, in a Norfolk hospital of a heart attack.

The daughter of the late Joseph S. Wise and Bertie M. Wise, Mrs. Anderson was a native of Stumpy Point, N.C., and resided most of her adult life in Norfolk. She was the widow of Avery T. Anderson. She was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church in Norfolk.

A switch board operator, she retired from CINCLANT and was recently a spirited employee at the Norfolk Waterside Marriott for five years. Mrs. Anderson was a member and past vice-regent of the Borough of the Norfolk Chapter D.A.R. and was a local artist. She loved to travel and was a student of piano at Old Dominion University.

Survivors include her three daughters, Gail A. Warner of Norfolk, Lois A. Clark of Virginia Beach and Linda A. Christian of Stroudsburg, Pa.; her son, Tracy Anderson of Virginia Beach; her sister, Olga M. Keaton of Alabama; four grandchildren, Bryan White, Christopher White, Jonathan Warner and Tracy Warner; two great-grandchildren, Bryan White Jr. and Stephanie White; her first cousins, Melba Hooper and Shirley Nixon; and her two best friends, Amber and Tar Baby.

A chapel service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 12, 1997, at H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Norfolk Chapel, by the Rev. Charles K. Blalock. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends today in the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. Following graveside services, the family will be at the home of her son, Tracy Anderson, 2129 Admiral Drive West, Cape Henry Shores, Virginia Beach, Va., 23451.
