DONALD L. WARD

Donald Lewis Ward, 62, died Nov. 9, 1997.

He was the son of Benjamin Wyatt Ward Sr. and Lenora Lewis Welch. He was for many years a commercial loan officer for First Mortgage Corporation and, thereafter, served as senior vice president and branch manager for ABG Financial Services Inc. At the time of his death, Mr. Ward was associated with Highland Mortgage Corporation and was the president of Don Ward Real Estate Services Inc. He was a past president of the Virginia Mortgage Bankers Association.

He is survived by his wife, Sarah A. McMahon; two sons, Edwin W. Ward of Fairfax and Benjamin H. Ward of Richmond; a daughter, Susan Virginia Ward of Anacortes, Wash.; his mother; one brother, Benjamin W. Ward of Norfolk; and his aunt, Florence L. Holland of Virginia Beach.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Third Presbyterian Church, Richmond. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Bliley Funeral Homes' Central Chapel, Richmond.
