CLAUDETTE BODNAR

Claudette Bodnar, 63, went to be with her Lord on Nov. 11, 1997.

A Granby High School and College of William and Mary graduate, Claudette was retired from Norfolk Public Schools after 23 years of service as an educator. She was a member of Saint Joseph's Catholic Church, Woodlawn, and past president of both the Galax and Norfolk Elks Lodge Ladies Auxiliary.

Survivors include her husband, William M. Bodnar of Woodlawn; her father, Claude C. Matthews of Woodlawn; her stepfather, Charles V. Whittemore of Norfolk; three sons, Charles J. Bodnar of Chesapeake, Richard E. Bodnar and Michael T. Bodnar, both of Woodlawn; a daughter-in-law, Kellie S. Bodnar of Woodlawn; and a granddaughter, Abigail F. Bodnar of Woodlawn.

A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in Saint Joseph's Catholic Church, Woodlawn. The family will receive friends at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Funeral Home Hillsville, from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Building Fund, Saint Joseph's Catholic Church, 99 Joy Ranch Road, Woodlawn, Va. 24381. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
