Joseph H. Riddick, 47, of the 900 block of Portland St. died Nov. 11, 1997, in a local hospital.
He was a native of Norfolk, and a material expediter for more than 20 years with Shop 51 at the Norfolk Naval Shipyard, where he served as a union representative. Mr. Riddick was a former member of the Marine Corps and a sergeant with the National Guard Reserve.
He was preceded in death by his father, Malachi Riddick.
He is survived by his wife, Mary A. Riddick; two sons, Tramel L. Riddick and Lamar S. Riddick, both of Chesapeake; his mother, Fannie Riddick; five brothers, Linton Harris, Thurmond Riddick, Floyd Riddick, David Riddick, Leon Riddick, all of Norfolk; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Martin and Annie Powell; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in St. Joseph AMEZ Church by Pastor Marvin Duke. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. Visitation will be Friday from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. in Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home, Chesapeake. ILLUSTRATION: Photo KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY DEATH OBITUARY
