MATTHEW K. MCNEAL

Matthew Kilby ``Mac'' McNeal Jr., 67, of the 500 block of Margaret Drive died Nov. 12, 1997, in his residence. He fought a long and courageous battle with lung cancer.

Born in Norfolk, he was vice president and general manager of Royster Printing Services Inc. Mr. McNeal was a member of Centerville Baptist Church; a member of the board of directors and past treasurer of Maury High School Foundation; past president of Tidewater Kennel Club; past president of Shetland Sheepdog Club of Tidewater; past president of Chesapeake Collie Club; and a lifetime member of P.T.A. He was a former batboy for the Old Norfolk Tars and he was a frequent visitor on the local sports stations. He was also a U.S. Naval veteran of the Korean War.

Survivors include his wife, Jo Ann W. McNeal; three daughters, Victoria L. Crick and her husband, David, of Richmond, Donna M. Shea, Shelley M. Worsham, both of Virginia Beach; a son, Matthew W. McNeal III and his wife, Karen, of Virginia Beach; mother, Emma C. McNeal of Portsmouth; a brother, Eugene W. McNeal and his wife, Beverley, of Chesapeake; 15 grandchildren; and a great-grandson.

A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in Centerville Baptist Church by the Rev. David Shelton and the Rev. Clayton Crigger. Burial will be in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Bridge Chapel, from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday.
