LLOYD A. PARKER JR.

Lloyd Arthur Parker Jr., 61, of the 600 block of South St., died Nov. 10, 1997, in a local nursing home.

Born in Margarettsville, N.C., he was a barber for 40 years.

Survivors include his wife, Celestine Parker; five daughters, Laverne Jackson and Diane Outland, both of Portsmouth, Carol Parker of Chesapeake, Karen Richards of Landover, Md., and Brenda Parker of Portsmouth; two sons, Lloyd Arthur Parker III and Darryl Parker, both of Portsmouth; five sisters, Rosetta Tillery of Portsmouth, Lois Louise Valentine of Chesapeake, Carrie Claude of Suffolk, Laura Anna Robinson of Cedar Grove, N.J., and Lille Ann MaJette of Durham, N.C.; a brother, Richard Lee Parker of Chesapeake; 23 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in the chapel of Fisher Funeral Home by Elder Jemmot Harris. Burial will be in Mount Zion Baptist Church Cemetery, Margarettsville, N.C.
