Ernest Dale Travis, 42, formerly of Colonial Heights, Va., died Nov. 12, 1997.
Coach Travis was a former basketball player for Colonial Heights High School, Mount Olive College and Christopher Newport University. Coach Travis was currently the athletic director and basketball coach at Trinity Episcopal School
He was preceded in death by his father, Ollie Travis. Survivors include his wife, Martha S. (Marty) Travis; a daughter, Victoria Freeman Travis; his mother, June Travis Williams and her husband, Earl Williams; a sister, Linda Travis Puckett; and nieces, nephews and other family.
The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. today in the Huguenot Chapel of Woody Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in St. Luke Lutheran Church. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Episcopal School. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
