Carolyn Strickland James, 68, of the 200 block of Cypress Road, died Friday Nov. 14, 1997, in a local hospital. She was a native of Nashville, N.C.
Survivors include her husband, Charlie E. James; mother, Lucretia Burgess of Hertford, N.C.; a daughter, Charlotte Nichol and her husband, Paul of W. Bloomfield, Mich.; three sisters, Marie Hembry of Wilmington, Del., Louise J. Sawyer of Hertford, N.C., Nancy Hartung of Chesapeake; three grandchildren, Jeremiah James of Portsmouth, Charles and Curtis Nichol of W. Bloomfield.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Sturtevant Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Gene V. Primm. Burial will be in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
