W. FOSTER FLETCHER

William Foster Fletcher, 97, of Horsey Road, died Nov. 14, 1997, in his home.

A retired self-employed farmer, he was born in Jenkins Bridge, Va., where he was a member of Emanuel Episcopal Church. He was the widower of Rose Velma Fletcher. He was the former deputy treasurer and treasurer of Accomack County, an Army veteran of World War II, member of the Order of Eastern Star (NU)88, Masonic Lodge (NU)121 AF & AM, Shrine, charter member of the Atlantic District Ruritans Club, director of the Accomack County Farm Bureau and Soil and Water Commission, member of Veterans of Foreign Wars and Scottish and York Rites.

Survivors include two sons, W. Beverly Fletcher of Horsey and Robert Foster Fletcher of League City, Texas; a sister, Barbara F. Beahm of Vero Beach, Fla.; grandchildren, Sela F. Kelly of Hudson, Ohio, Cherron Davis of New Church; great-grandchildren, Elaine Davis McNure, Elizabeth Davis and Thomas A. Davis Jr., all of New Church, and Grahm Kelly IV of Hudson. He was predeceased by his mother, Sally Warfield Holland Fletcher and father, William Spencer Drummond Fletcher and a grandchild, Robert Foster Fletcher.

A funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Wednesday in Emanuel Episcopal Church, Jenkins Bridge, by the Rev. William Starkey. Burial will be in Taylor Cemetery. Masonic rites will be held graveside by Temperanceville Masonic Lodge No. 121. Fox Funeral home, Temperanceville, is in charge. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
