H. FRANK SAUNDERS

Hurley Frank Saunders, 72, of the 4800 block of Colonial Lane, died Sunday, Nov. 16, 1997, in a local hospital.

A member of Churchland Baptist Church, he retired as a salesman for Empire Machinery and Supply Corp., where he was employed for more than 36 years. He was a member of the Woodrow Wilson High School Grid Iron Club.

Mr. Saunders is survived by his wife, Norma Saunders; two daughters, Lisa S. Nelson of Portsmouth and Lori S. Mounie of Chesapeake; two sons, Bruce E. Saunders of Lexington, Va., and Barry W. Saunders of Chesapeake; three sisters, Mary Elizabeth McLauchlin of Portsmouth, Rosa Mae Byrum of Edenton, N.C., Helen Raynor of Raleigh, N.C.; two half-sisters, Mary Anne Parker of Chesapeake and Kitty Greene of Eure, N.C.; a half-brother, Carl Jones of Gatesville, N.C.; six grandchildren, Casey, Brady, Brett, Aaron, Cory and Hope.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in Churchland Baptist Church Cemetery by Dr. R. Clint Hopkins. The family will receive friends today from 7 to 8 p.m. in Loving Funeral Home, Churchland Chapel. The family suggests memorial contributions to the building fund of Churchland Baptist Church, 3031 Churchland Blvd., Chesapeake, Va. 23321. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
