Mary James Lorber, 94, died Nov. 16, 1997.
A native of Scranton, N.C., she was the widow of William F. Lorber Sr. and a member of Monumental United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her daughters, Jean Bristow and husband, John, of Portsmouth and Mary Ann McRainey and husband, Archie, of Richmond; two stepsons, Jack Lorber and William Lorber; four grandchildren, Bruce Bristow, Donna Harrell, Lynn McRainey and Sharon Thompson.
A graveside service was held Monday, Nov. 17, by the Rev. Beverly R. Watkins. Loving Funeral Home, Churchland Chapel, handled the arrangements. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
