Vera Midgett Hines, 80, died Sunday, Nov. 16, 1997 in her residence.
Mrs. Hines was born in Manteo and was a homemaker. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Manteo Lodge Chapter No. 79 and Mount Olivet United Methodist Church. She was the daughter of the late Franklin Harris Midgett and the late Ella Midgett Midgett and the wife of the late Ervin G. Hines.
She is survived by a son, Ralph G. Hines of Raleigh; two sisters, Estelle Mayo of Manteo and Ella Cox of New Smyrna Beach, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. today in Twiford's Colony Chapel. with the Rev. Vance Midgett, a nephew, officiating. Burial will take place in Manteo Cemetery. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
