Charles Edward Hinson Sr., 64, of the 3500 block of Martin Johnson Road died Nov. 18, 1997, in Portsmouth.
Born in Statesville, N.C., he was a retired spraypainter for the Norfolk plant of Ford Motor Co.
Survivors include his wife, Hallie M. Hinson; two daughters, Linda Mae Fodor of Chesapeake, Joann Baker of Pocahontas, Iowa; two sons, Charles E. Hinson Jr. of South Mills, N.C., Stoney Lee Hinson of Chesapeake; a sister, Judy Harwell of Statesville; three brothers, Bobby Hinson, Jerry Hinson, Carrol Hinson, all of Statesville; three grandchildren, Charles E. Hinson III of Grovetown, Ga., Summer Dawn Hinson of Virginia Beach, Michael Ryan Hinson of Camp Pendleton, Calif.; three great-grandchildren, Brittian Marie Hinson, Jacob Alexander Hinson and Jeremiah Andrew Hinson, all of Grovetown.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in Snellings Funeral Home, George Washington Hwy. Chapel, by the Rev. David Alexander. Burial will be in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens. The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday to receive friends. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
