Constance L. ``Connie'' Rogers, 67, of the 1100 block of Craig St. died Nov. 17, 1997, in a local hospital.
Born in Norfolk, she was a homemaker and a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church, Berkley. She was the widow of William Rogers and was predeceased by her parents, Jessie M. Baker and William Baker Sr.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Gail and Willie Rogers of Newport News; three sons and daughters-in-law, William and Pam Rogers, Shepherd and Roslyn Rogers, Earl and Terry Rogers, all of Norfolk; three sisters, Katherine B. Braye and Audrey Gardner, both of Norfolk, Nellie Suter of Chesapeake; four brothers, William Baker of Augusta, Ga., James Baker of Norfolk, Reginald Baker of Cherry Hill, N.J., Richard Baker of Columbia, Md.; 12 grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
A funeral will be conducted at noon Friday in Mount Zion Baptist Church by Dr. Charles Hart. Burial will be at Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake. Metropolitan Funeral Service, Norfolk, is in charge of arrangements. The body will be placed in the church at 10 a.m. Friday. Family and friends will assemble at 1130 Craig St., Apt.
