Gladys West Williams, 82, of the 600 block of Kingsborough Square, died Nov. 19, 1997, in Chesapeake Healthcare Center.
A native of Isle of Wight County, Va., she was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church. She was the widow of Ross S. Williams and the daughter of the late James Ira West and Cora Jones West.
Survivors include her sisters, Mildred W. Murrill of Atlanta, Ga., Thelma W. Baines of Richmond and Nell W. Hollowell of Corapeake, N.C.; several nieces and nephews.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in Hill Funeral Home by the Rev. Charles W. Thompson. Entombment will be in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens. Friends may join the family from 7:30 to 9 p.m. today in the funeral home. Contributions may be made to First Baptist Church, Family Life Center, 237 N. Main St., Suffolk, Va. 23434.
