John A. Hoffman, 69, of the 8400 block of Portal Road died Nov. 21, 1997, in his residence.
Born in the Bronx, N.Y., he had retired as a service technician from Sears & Roebuck & Co.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Ruth Hoffman; three daughters, Di Anna Goyena of Norfolk, Catherine Ainsworth of San Diego, Calif., and Nancy Hoffman Price of Norfolk; one sister; two brothers; and two grandchildren.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday in Forest Lawn Cemetery by Father Edward L. Richardson. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Sunday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel. Memorial donations may be made to Sentara Hospice. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
