Emily Mae Morgan Babbitt, 74, of the 500 block of Thole St., died Nov. 21, 1997, in a local hospital.
Born in Matthews, Va., she was a member of Tabernacle Church of Norfolk. Mrs. Babbitt was a longtime cook for Grace Bible Camp and a volunteer horticulturist at Virginia Zoological Park.
Survivors include her husband, George F. Babbitt; two daughters, Joyce Heffington of Virginia Beach and Emily Jane Bee of Chesapeake; a sister, Cheri Jackson of Virginia Beach; and two grandchildren, Chelsea Tara Bee and Maudlin Mae Heffington.
A memorial service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday in Tabernacle Church of Norfolk by Pastor Mike Latsko. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, is in charge of arrangements. The family suggest that in lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Grace Bible Camp, 111 Bible Camp Lane, Goshen, Va. 24439, or Tabernacle Church of Norfolk Miracle 2000.
