EDWARD A. RAYNOR SR.

Edward Allen Raynor Sr., 52, of the 500 block of Cameo Terrace, died Saturday, Nov. 22, 1997, at his residence.

Mr. Raynor was a native of Knoville, Tenn., and was the son of Annie Lee Gray Raynor of Phoenix, Ariz., and the late John Edward Raynor. He was superintendent with GSHH Construction in Chesapeake. He was active in many bowling leagues in the area and was a former member of the Virginia National Guard.

He was predeceased by his wife, Ruth Ann Raynor. Besides his mother, he is survived by his fiancee, Linda Dimitry of Chesapeake; a daughter, Tonya Lynn Raynor of Norfolk; a son, Edward Allen Raynor Jr. of Portsmouth; four step-daughters, Kimberly Ann Hill of Portsmouth, Lisa K. Henderson of Decatur, Ala., Katherine Hope Capstick of Eureka, Mo. and Cress Michelle Barnes of Charlotte, N.C.; three sisters, Sylvia Carballo of Houston, Texas, Marilyn Faye Norris and Linda Gray Schucker of Phoenix, Ariz.; two brothers, Daniel Glen Raynor and James Michael Raynor, both of Phoenix; and 12 grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at Oman Funeral Home, Great Bridge, from 7 to 9 p.m. today. The graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Virginia Beach, by Brother Ron Malonec. The family requests that memorials be made to the American Cancer Society, Portsmouth-Chesapeake Unit, 2730 Ellsmere Ave., Norfolk, Va. 23513. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
