Clifford G. Irby Sr., 77, of the 2100 block of Ruth St., died Nov. 22, 1997.
Born in Philadelphia and raised in Berkley, Va., he was a retired salesman and U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Anna Fitzgerald Irby; a daughter, Jane Atwood of Chesapeake; two sons, Clifford G. Irby Jr. of Glen Allen, Va., and George M. Irby of Miami; a brother, G. Wayne Irby of Chesapeake; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Oak Grove United Methodist Church, Chesapeake, by the Rev. E. Kirk Robinson. Francis A. Gay Funeral Home, South Norfolk Chapel, Chesapeake, is in charge. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
