Virginia Ritossa Bell, mother of Mrs. Rosemary Bell Houseknecht of Virginia Beach and Portsmouth, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 23, 1997.
She was a native and lifelong Newport News resident and retired from Newport News Shipbuilding in 1982.
She is also survived by her son-in-law, Dr. Robert A Houseknecht, and many grandchildren, including, Robert A. Houseknecht Jr. and Diane L. Seguin, both of Virginia Beach.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today at Peninsula Funeral Home. A funeral will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home by Father Timothy Keeney. Burial will follow in Peninsula Memorial Park. The family has requested that expressions of sympathy be made in the form of donations to charities benefitting children. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
