Blanche Benton Evans, 95, formerly of the 3000 block of Chesapeake Blvd., died Nov. 23, 1997, in a local nursing home.
Born in Mathews County, Va., she was the widow of Charles T. Evans.
Survivors include a brother, Martin E. Benton of Newport News; two grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; a niece, Jackie Rowe of Gwens, Va.; and a daughter-in-law, Shirley J. Evans of Norfolk.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Forest Lawn Cemetery by the Rev. John Mason. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
