H.J. JOHNSON SR.

Harry John Johnson Sr. died Nov. 25, 1997.

He was a retired welder from Moon Engineering and the former owner of Johnson Restaurant. He was a member of Gatesville Baptist Church and a lifetime member of the Norfolk No. 39 Moose Lodge. Mr. Johnson is preceded in death by his first wife, Edna Johnson.

Survivors include his wife, Mabel Johnson; two sons, the Rev. H. John Johnson Jr. of Richmond and Edward C. Johnson of Norfolk; a stepson, Bernard Hood Jr. of Marion, N.C.; a brother, Frank Marshall Johnson of Millington, Md.; a sister, Ethel Rapp of Milford, Del.; and five grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today in Kellum Funeral Home, Rosewood Chapel. A chapel service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday in the funeral home by his son, the Rev. H. John Johnson Jr. Interment will follow to Rosewood Memorial Park. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
