Jimmy Glayde Ivey, 50, of the 3400 block of Winchester Drive, died Thursday Nov. 27, 1997, at his residence.
A native of Conway, S.C., he was a retired ceiling mechanic and a Navy veteran of Vietnam.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Jean Ivey; mother, Lena Smith Stublen of Portsmouth and father, John B. Ivey Sr. of Conway; a son, Clinton M. Ivey of Portsmouth; a stepdaughter, Felicia Greene of Kannapolis, N.C.; two sisters, Barbara A. Rios of Chesapeake, Jessie R. Shanks of Norfolk; a brother, John B. Ivey of Chesapeake; stepfather, Robert L. Stublen of Portsmouth; stepmother, Lorraine Ivey of Conway; and three grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, by Pastor Ben Bonnici. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
