David Armstrong Osborne, 84, of the 500 block of Garren Ave. died Nov. 27, 1997, in his home.
Born in Norfolk, he was retired from the City of Norfolk as a firefighter. He was also the former vice president of Osborne Associates and a land holding developer.
Survivors include his wife, Edna Osborne of Norfolk; four cousins, Rhea McMillan and Jennie Sawyer, both of Norfolk, Alexander Osborne and his wife, Eleanor, of Hampton, Barbara Osborne Palmer and her husband, Gary, of Knoxville, Tenn.; several nieces and nephews.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, by Chaplain James O'Connor. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery with honors accorded by Norfolk Firefighters. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday in the funeral home.
