The following report is made by the nominating committee, consisting of:

The By-Laws specify that four Directors be elected each year, for three year terms. In the process of switching over from the previous system where six Directors were elected each year for two year terms, this year, four will be elected for three year terms and two for two year terms. The four candidates receiving the highest number of votes will be elected for three year terms and the others for two year terms. When your ballot is received please vote for six. The names put in nomination by the Committee are:

Warren Berg, Kent, Wash., rhododendron collector and hobbyist.
Mrs. Robert Berry, Aberdeen, Wash., incumbent, chairman of the seed exchange.
P. H. (Jock) Brydon, now residing in Oregon, former Director of the Strybing Arboretum, Golden Gate Park, San Francisco, Cal., one of the foremost authorities on rhododendrons in the U. S.
Merle E. Cisney, Camas, Wash., incumbent.
R. E. Comerford, Marion, Ore., incumbent.
Russell Coovert, Tacoma, Wash., incumbent.
Frank Doleshy, Seattle, Wash., known for his Japanese Rhododendron explorations &contributions to species study.
Louis C. Grothaus, Lake Oswego, Ore., former Board member.
Mrs. W. J. Hodgson, Vancouver, B.C., Canada, has served in executive capacity in Canadian Rhododendron Association. The Vancouver, B.C. Chapter will be hosting the 1970 A.R.S. Annual Meeting.
C. L. Justice, Vancouver, B. C., Canada, landscape architect, has served in executive capacity in Canadian Rhododendron Association. The Vancouver, B.C. Chapter will be hosting the 1970 A. R. S. Annual Meeting.
Alfred S. Martin, Ambler, Pa., incumbent, has been acting as liaison representative from the eastern Chapters.
Dan Morris, Eugene, Ore., former Board member, chairman of our last Annual Meeting in Eugene.
Maurice Sumner, San Francisco, Cal., hobbyist, known for recent New Guinea Rhododendron exploration.
W. E. (Bill) Whitney, Brinnon, Wash., outstanding Northwest rhododendron hybridizer.
The Board members whose terms expire in 1969 (July) are indicated by the word "incumbent", and they are eligible for re-election.
