- COLLEGE NOTES =LO JEFFREY A. NELSON, SON OF MR. AND MRS. JAMES A. NELSON OF ROANOKE COUNTY, MADE THE DEAN'S LIST AT BLUEFIELD STATE COLLEGE. NELSON GRADUATED FROM NORTHSIDE HIGH SCHOOL AND IS A 1995 GRADUATE OF VIRGINIA WESTERN COMMUNITY COLLEGE. VIRGINIA COLLEGE HAS ANNOUNCED ITS RECENT GRADUATES FROM THE ROANOKE VALLEY.
