Car thefts in Chesapeake rose 17 percent from January to August
1995 compared to the same period a year ago. A Sept. 20 Metro News
story and chart on crime statistics erroneously had Chesapeake car
thefts up 27.5 percent. The information came from the Norfolk Police
Department.
