CORRECTION/CLARIFICATION: ***************************************************************** A front-page headline Tuesday should have said that Vice Adm. J. Paul Reason's nomination for promotion would make him the Navy's first black four-star admiral, not the first four-star admiral. Also, a reference in the story to Reason as a future ``fleet admiral'' was meant to describe his nomination to command the Atlantic Fleet and not the five-star rank. Correction published in The Virginian-Pilot, Wednesday, May 15, 1996, page A2. ***************************************************************** FIRST BLACK NOMINATED TO COMMAND ATLANTIC FLEET REASON WAS ALSO PICKED NAVY'S 1ST 4-STAR ADMIRAL
