A photo of four priests who have been named monsignors, on
Monday's MetroNews front, had a caption error. The photo showed
Bishop Walter F. Sullivan with the priests - from left, Walter
Barrett, Michael McCarron, Thomas J. Caroluzza and William L. Pitt.
The identifications of McCarron and Caroluzza were switched in the
caption.

In a column Monday by George Tucker, a quote attributed to
19th-century Virginia aristocrat John Hartwell Cocke had an error.
Cocke actually said, in condemning slavery, ``We or our posterity
are inevitably destined to be overwhelmed, unless the cause is
removed.'' Due to a clerical error, the word ``prosperity'' appeared
in print.
